Hospice of the Valley needs volunteers to visit patients at their homes and provide breaks to family caregivers.
An orientation will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays on July 15, 22, 29 and August 5 at the agency’s central clinical office, 1510 E. Flower St., Building 2, Phoenix, 85014.
Volunteers visit with patients, run errands and offer emotional support.
Opportunities also are available for activities that don’t involve patient care, including administrative duties, working at our thrift stores and sewing.
